GCamp's presentation: Data is all around, mash it

The second day of GCamp is about brain storming, gathering ideas how to achieve the goal of predict and prevent outbreak before it happens.

Our idea is about citizen surveillance, making a bunch of data which is aggregated from various sources to be more usable and accessible by the use of existed, everyday-life, technology.

GCamp's presentation: Mobile BioSurveillance, english

This is our presentation which is presented in GCamp in Phnom Penh. Interestingly that 60% of topics in GCamp are about using mobile phone on disease surveillance. The conversation with GCampers was great, but need to think more about sustainability of system, incentive of reporters or even how to make this surveillance more everyday-life.

We're invited to join Google.org's GCamp in Phnom Penh, Cambodia during June 23 - 25, 2009. This round of GCamp is about to Exploring Emerging Technologies to Address Emerging Infections and brought epicemiologist and techies from SEA region into barcamp-ish style workshop.

4 Opendreamers joined the camp. From our techies perspective, iSurveillance (self-defined-term) is the next step predict and prevent and disease surveillance.
